Problem
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe were looking to change their Software Escrow provider, a process known as a Software Escrow transfer. This happened as a result of them growing increasingly dissatisfied with their existing Escrow provider, feeling that they were overpaying for the standard of service and the level of protection delivered. Acknowledging the importance of the application covered by the Escrow agreement the organisation decided it was time to explore the wider market.
Solution
After assessing the market, The Edinburgh Festival Fringe selected SES as their new Software Escrow partner. A dedicated Account Manager was assigned, supported by the broader SES team to guarantee a smooth, uninterrupted transition. Continued collaboration across multiple teams now delivers a higher standard of service and protection, while also offering a far more cost‑effective solution. A Free Software Escrow Transfer agreement was set up.
Outcome
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe initially brought one agreement across from their previous Escrow provider using our Free Transfer Offer. They found the setup and depositing processes so simple and straightforward that they have since set up additional Software Escrow protection with SES.
