"Pivotal for our recovery and continuity strategy."
Big Bus Tours approached SES to safeguard their Google‑Cloud‑based booking and ticketing platform in case their software supplier was ever unable to support or meet the obligations of the Software Licensing Agreement. Their primary requirement was to ensure that any disruption to the platform was kept to an absolute minimum, enabling the business to continue operating with the shortest possible downtime.
SES designed and delivered a SaaS Continuity Solution by collaborating closely with the developer to build a fully tested secondary Google Cloud Platform tenant capable of recovering the service in as little as one hour. This approach provides rapid restoration at a significantly lower cost than traditional active–active replication models. SES also conducts regular simulations of the platform recovery plan to keep the process current, validated, and thoroughly documented.
Through regular, transparent testing, SES gives Big Bus Tours complete confidence in the resilience of their critical platform. Both the business continuity plan and the Software Escrow Agreement are fully prepared and optimised, ensuring they can be executed smoothly and effectively in the event of a Software Escrow trigger or a wider Disaster Recovery scenario. Big Bus Tours can move forward with peace of mind, knowing they are fully prepared to handle unforeseen obstacles challenges that may arise.
