Problem
The S2 Partnership supports clients in managing safety and environmental risks through assessments, audits, consultancy services and specialist risk‑management software. As part of a Software Deployment and Licence Agreement, the company was required to place its hosted application under a SaaS Software Escrow Agreement. After reviewing several providers, S2 selected SES to deliver and manage the Escrow arrangement.
Solution
SES implemented a SaaS Escrow model that securely protected both the application’s Source Code and its data. To give the customer complete confidence that the application could be redeployed independently if ever required, SES carried out a Remote Code Validation and redeployment exercise. A full audio‑visual recording of the validation process, along with the results, is now held securely in Escrow for use in the event of a release.
Outcome
SES delivered a cost‑effective, straightforward and highly professional SaaS Escrow Agreement that fulfilled all contractual obligations and strengthened the S2 Partnership’s operational resilience, both for today and for the future.
