Impress Solutions were approached by one of their clients to implement Software Escrow & Source Code Validation assurances, aligned to two critical applications. Having worked with SES on a previous Software Escrow project, Impress Solutions knew that SES had the expertise to meet the project scope and clients’ requirements.
By creating a Master Framework Software Escrow agreement, Impress Solutions now have the flexibility to deposit the relevant source code and application materials for each platform under separate repositories. From there, on an annual basis, SES’s expert Source Code Validation Consultants work with the Impress Solutions development team to witness and record the validation process which is secured in the respective repository with the platform source code and materials.
This approach meant Impress Solutions could register multiple applications under one Framework set of Software Escrow terms, reducing the expenditure of multiple Escrow Agreements. The annual Source Code Validation process provides assurances to Impress Solutions’ client that SES can provide an effective exit strategy should the Software Escrow Agreement ever be triggered.
